OUR QUESTIONS
What’s the most important issue or cause that compels you to raise your voice?
The issue that compels me most to raise my voice is fairness – especially when people are treated with less respect or opportunity than they deserve. As a business owner and a mother, I believe it is our responsibility to create environments where people can grow, contribute, and be taken seriously. Whether it is within a company, in education, or in society, I feel strongly that everyone should have the chance to be heard and valued.
Speaking up is sometimes uncomfortable, but silence rarely changes anything. If something feels wrong or unjust, I believe it is important to address it – calmly, clearly, and with conviction.
Can you share a moment when speaking up made a real difference?
There have been many moments in business where speaking up was necessary, especially when protecting the integrity of our brand or standing up for fair collaboration.
One moment that stayed with me was when I had to address a situation where our work and values were not being respected. It would have been easier to stay quiet and avoid conflict, but I chose to speak openly and set clear boundaries.
In the end, it strengthened the relationship because expectations became clear. It reminded me that leadership often means having the courage to say what needs to be said – even when it is uncomfortable.
What challenges have you faced when speaking up?
The biggest challenge when speaking up is often the fear of creating tension or being misunderstood. Especially as a woman in leadership, there can be an expectation to stay agreeable or avoid confrontation.
Over time I learned that clarity is actually a form of respect. When you speak honestly and with calm confidence, people know where they stand. Experience has helped me overcome that hesitation. I have learned that the more grounded you are in your values, the easier it becomes to express them.
What outfit makes you feel the most powerful?
For me, feeling powerful in what I wear is less about a specific outfit and more about authenticity. I feel strongest when I wear something elegant, simple, and well-structured – pieces that reflect who I am.
Recently, during our last photoshoot, I wore an outfit from LUKKA, and I felt incredibly comfortable and confident in it. It had a quiet elegance and strength that made me feel completely at ease in front of the camera.
A beautifully crafted bag from our own collection, combined with a clean, confident look, always reminds me of the journey behind it. It represents creativity, resilience, and the courage to build something meaningful.
When you wear something that carries your own story, it gives you a quiet but powerful confidence.
Thank you, Mimi.
